MACS continues to grow

MACS has become a well-known brand in both the automotive air-conditioning tools and components as well as the Refrigeration components industry in the last few years.

MACS automotive is well known for its availability and range of stock of components and units for the heat exchange industry to large Robinair RRR units. The MACSCOOL division started making inroads in the Refrigeration industry and is able to supply companies with a large range, from smaller items, refrigerant gas, to condensing units and condensing packs.

The Head Office and branch in Selby, Johannesburg has an impressive warehouse, workshop and training centre as well as a refrigerant gas decanting plant. Together with the Cape Town, Natal, Pretoria Bloemfontein and Nelspruit branches, MACS has a large footprint covering Southern Africa.

The company recently announced the opening of the Port Elizabeth depot in Sidwell under the auspices of the Cape Town branch. Says Harald von Ey – Regional Manager –Coastal “a presence in Port Elizabeth has been a project in the making for a while now and watching it come to fruition is very exciting”

Together with the new depot it also announced a new focus on Exports into Africa. The tremendous response to MACS’ service and products cross border has necessitated the company allocating specific resources to cope with the ever increasing sales.
“MACS has shown growth despite the recession and following on the opening of branches in Bloemfontein and Nelspruit 2 years ago, we are excited about the opening of our depot in Port Elizabeth as well as the Export department” says Ian Griesel Managing Director of the group.
