Networking through the Web. The automotive aftermarket world will meet at Futurmotive - Digital Expo and Conference to talk about the changes and innovations currently affecting the entire sector. On December 10, in the comfort of a virtual arena, company representatives, international experts, universities and trade associations will meet to discuss the latest scenarios and economic strategies of the automotive industry and its supply chain. Technological innovation and mobility, a new supply chain model and a circular economic system are some of the topics contained in the Futurmotive - Digital Expo and Conference programme. "The impact of the pandemic on the automotive industry, which according to some analysts was expected to put a damper on technological development, has not actually affected the sector’s innovative processes - said Renzo Servadei, CEO of Autopromotec. Issues such as connected mobility, circular economy, the application of AI software to vehicles and the digitisation of garages and distribution networks are key elements in the upcoming economic scenarios. The Futurmotive project centres on these very themes: the aim is to “gather” and involve representatives of software companies, hi-tech innovation experts, university lecturers and economic analysts along with more traditional sectors such as components and equipment and tires, in order to promote and spread knowhow, strengthen existing business relations and build new ones. The idea behind the conference is to forge a new toolbox for the automotive industry in view of the large physical event we will organise in May 2022".
The Futurmotive - Digital Expo and Conference event will take place live in streaming and will alternate discussions on current and future scenarios with in-depth workshops. The format chosen resembles closely "television" programmes with guests who will take turns, depending on the subject, throughout the day (programme starts at 9.30 am, ends at 5 pm). The choice to give the event the typical rhythm of a television programme was made in order to capture the attention of operators in the sector. The programme includes a series of 40-minute sessions divided by topic. Thus, professional operators will have the opportunity to follow in-depth discussions of their subject of interest. The topics that will be addressed concern: the transformation of the production chain, the digitization of distribution networks, the economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the aftermarket sector, AI developments in the automotive sector, circular economy, access to vehicle on-board data and big data management, cybersecurity, connected workshops and the evolution of infrastructures and service stations. Visitors connected online, besides following the meetings will have the added opportunity to move around the virtual stands set up by the participating companies. In these spaces, visitors will be able to access the material made available by each company and chat and/or videoconference directly with sales representatives. This will allow all specialists to find the desired technical solutions, the ones they have heard about in the conference area, in real time.
