Filtration leader expands global reach with new South Africa facility, highlighting commitment to Africa.

MANN+HUMMEL, a leading filtration specialist, has opened a new manufacturing plant in Kempton Park, Johannesburg, South Africa. The 3,200 square meter facility will supply the local commercial vehicle, passenger car, off-highway, and industrial aftermarket industries.

The new plant is the culmination of a project that began in 2016 when MANN+HUMMEL identified South Africa as the ideal location to establish a presence in Africa. The company first established a Sales Office and an Aftermarket Distribution Center in the country.

The Johannesburg plant will serve as a strategic hub for the sub-Saharan African market and will lay the groundwork for further expansion into Africa. Local production will allow MANN+HUMMEL to strengthen its position as an industry leader throughout the region.

The facility will produce high-performance filters for commercial, passenger, off-highway, and industrial vehicles. It will use solar power extensively and employ the 3R initiatives (reduce, reuse, recycle) to ensure minimal environmental impact.
