futuREady: the new Renault Group roadmap presented to its suppliers
  • Renault Group has unveiled its futuREady plan to its suppliers, key partners in its success with whom it aims to build a strengthened relationship based on a partnership-oriented mindset promoting trust and transparency over the long term.
  • The Group now involves its suppliers at a very early stage, particularly regarding strategic components and technologies, to encourage innovation, accelerate development time, and reduce costs.
  • An awards ceremony in five categories recognized partners Bosch, CATL, Google, Iberdrola, and Valeo for strong performance and key achievements.

Two days after unveiling its new strategic plan futuREady, Renault Group invited its suppliers to the Technocentre to present this roadmap and its ambitions in the presence of François Provost, CEO of Renault Group, and members of the leadership team.

”In a disruptive environment, our procurement strategy is clear and relies on a solid supplier base, here in Europe and in all our other ecosystems located near our industrial activities. Cost competitiveness, innovation, speed and resilience are our common protection to face the new competitors and ensure growth. Our performance is our supplier's performance, our growth is their growth. We want our futuREady strategy to become part of our supplier strategy”, said Anthony Plouvier, Chief Procurement Officer, Renault Group.

As part of its new strategic plan, Renault Group is implementing a strategy based on competitiveness, resilience, and agility. Under the fourth pillar, TRUST-ready, the Group aims to strengthen its commitments to all stakeholders, particularly by establishing a new relationship with suppliers. Renault Group will foster a partnership-oriented mindset with them to build a more competitive, resilient, and collaborative procurement model.

A lasting collaboration, built on trust and transparency, will enable all partners to be involved from the earliest stages of projects focused on strategic components and technologies. The Group also intends to continue consolidating its supplier base to focus its purchases on the highest performing actors and establish value-creating relationships. This strategy will allow Renault Group to increase volumes with key partners, strengthen the agility and resilience of the supply chain, and sustain the competitiveness momentum initiated by the Group.

Just as it aims to become the reference European carmaker, Renault Group will be committed to support its suppliers to also achieve a leading level of competitiveness in the automotive sector. This approach relies on collective and coordinated action, targeting all essential levers: optimizing R&D costs and enhancing performance, improving industrial efficiency, rigorously selecting competitive materials and components, and promoting innovative initiatives.

As part of futuREady, Renault Group continues to pursue its decarbonization targets and expects its supplier network to adopt the same approach. Thus, more than 90% of purchases will come from suppliers with a high ESG score, and any initiative that reduces the carbon footprint and promotes the use of recycled materials will be encouraged.

An Awards Ceremony highlighting stronger supplier relationships.

An awards ceremony took place at the conclusion of the presentation to honour outstanding initiatives and key achievements across four distinct categories. A Special Jury Prize was also awarded.
