The private sector is keeping South Africa’s lights on, security in place, and cities functioning. Municipalities are failing and actively blocking private solutions to protect their service monopoly.

Business owners and citizens pay twice: once through rates, and again out of pocket for all basic services that municipalities are supposed to deliver.

This is not a resource problem. It is a political choice - loyalty over competence, payrolls over delivery, and the protection of a system that no longer works.
