International interest mounts as Automechanika Jakarta debuts tomorrow with worldwide participation across the value chain

Automotive industry players will gather at the debut of Automechanika Jakarta next week to showcase current and future products, services and technologies on the market.

Taking place from 24 to 27 September across 20,800 sqm across four halls of the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE), the first edition of the fair will host 339 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions including eight country and region pavilions. These platforms help local companies better understand how to serve international entrants, while global players can gain knowledge of the local market.”

For instance, the Supply Chain Collaboration Forum on 24 September will convene overseas and local manufacturers, Indonesian industry partners, and aftermarket service providers to discuss local content requirements and government initiatives.

The Automotive Mobility Solutions Conference will also gather global and domestic players to explore intersections between automotive innovation and wider technology trends. AVL List GmbH, Lenovo Malaysia, Smart Manufacturing Solutions, and TotalEnergies Renewables Distributed Generation Indonesia will discuss electrification, Industry 4.0, AI-enabled mobility, fleet management, and sustainable practices.

Continuing this theme, the Tech & Skills Workshop will also feature a lineup of international and local experts leading practical demonstrations in modern repair techniques, maintenance, ADAS, high voltage repair, and precision painting and workshop digitalisation.

More fringe events include the interactive Xperience Zone for dent and collision repair, and autoFEST@JKT, which hosts driving simulators, the Car Slalom Test & Braking Challenge, and an Auto Service Day for end-users complete with the Auto Bazaar for sourcing rare components. Further diving into automotive culture, EMMA Racing spotlights custom builds and immersive sound systems; MOTOFEST delivers competition-ready modified bikes and meetups; and Classic Cars celebrate craftsmanship through restored icons. Additionally, guided industrial tours will give attendees a direct look into Indonesian manufacturing set ups, while the Business Matching Programme facilitates targeted meetings for overseas buyers and local businesses.

Accessing this platform for regional progress, visitor groups represent neighbouring markets such as China, Myanmar, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. In addition, pre-registration indicates participation from over 50 countries and regions.
