Chery puts people at the centre of 2026 International User Summit
  • Chery International User Summit 2026 runs from 19–24 October in China under the theme “Together. For Family”, with a stronger focus on real family mobility needs.
  • The programme will showcase intelligent parking, safety validation, Chery Super Hybrid technology and new-model experiences through practical, real-world scenarios.
  • A key focus will be Chery’s people-centric brand strategy, giving users a more active role in sharing feedback, shaping product conversations and influencing the wider ownership experience.

From 19 to 24 October, the Chery International User Summit 2026 will bring users, media and other stakeholders together at Chery’s headquarters in China, with this year’s programme placing greater emphasis on the people behind the products.

Held under the theme “Together. For Family”, the summit will explore how the everyday needs of families influence Chery’s approach to product development, safety, intelligent technology and the wider ownership experience.

The theme builds on Chery’s global “For Family” positioning, which has increasingly connected product and technology development with practical considerations such as safety, space, efficiency and ease of use.

It also reflects a broader shift in Chery’s global brand strategy towards a more people-centric approach. Rather than treating users simply as customers, the brand is creating more opportunities for owners and families to share their experiences, participate in product discussions and influence how future mobility solutions are developed.

Technology has the greatest value when it responds to a real need in someone’s everyday life,” says Verene Petersen, National Marketing Manager at Chery South Africa.

“That is what ‘For Family’ represents. Whether we are talking about safety, intelligent features, efficiency or space, the starting point is the person using the vehicle. The User Summit gives Chery an opportunity to listen to those experiences across different markets and use them to inform how our products and the wider ownership experience continue to evolve.”

For the South African market, this approach provides a more relatable way of communicating technology: not simply through specifications, but through the difference it can make to everyday driving, family travel and vehicle ownership.

Technology shaped around everyday life

Under the “Technology. For Family” pillar, the summit will demonstrate how intelligent vehicle technology can address common challenges faced by drivers.

The Chery SIVP Family Experience Camp will recreate familiar situations such as school runs, shopping trips and parking in busy environments. Participants will be able to experience Chery’s Super Intelligent Valet Parking technology in practical scenarios, including assisted parking, vehicle retrieval and automated departure functions.

The focus is less on technology for its own sake and more on how these features can make everyday vehicle use simpler and more convenient.

Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) will form part of this broader technology story, demonstrating the role electrified powertrains can play in balancing performance with greater efficiency and lower fuel consumption. The technology combines Chery’s dedicated hybrid engine with its electric hybrid transmission system, while features such as vehicle-to-load capability extend its use beyond driving to activities such as outdoor and family travel.

The summit will also provide global media with the opportunity to experience the new Chery Q, including dedicated test drives focused on its design, interior space, handling and intelligent features. Developed with urban lifestyles and younger users in mind, the model will further expand Chery’s all-electric portfolio.

Putting family safety to the test

Safety will form the second major pillar of the summit through “Guardian. For Family”.

The Chery Safety Challenge Camp will move beyond static displays by placing vehicles and safety systems in practical validation scenarios based on real-world family use.

A publicly observed full-vehicle crash test will assess structural integrity and occupant protection under specified test conditions, while other demonstrations will explore how Chery’s safety development translates into everyday driving.

The programme will also include experiences shared by members of Chery’s Guardian Club from different markets, connecting technical safety development with accounts from people who use the vehicles in their daily lives.

This reflects the thinking behind “Safety. For Family”: that safety should be demonstrated not only through engineering and testing, but through its relevance to the people travelling in the vehicle.

Giving users a greater voice

The people-centric approach will continue through Chery Brand Night and the KOC Forum. Chery Brand Night will use stories from families and users around the world to explore changing mobility needs, everyday journeys and the different ways vehicles fit into people’s lives.

The all-new TIGGO 7 and TIGGO X7 are also scheduled to make their global debuts during the programme, with their introductions incorporated into these real-life user stories rather than presented as standalone product reveals.

Families selected through Chery’s global Happiness Family campaign will join KOC representatives from a range of markets, while the KOC Forum will combine user research, vehicle evaluation and open discussion around ownership experiences and future needs.

The intention is to create a more direct exchange between the people developing Chery vehicles and those living with them every day.

That dialogue is becoming an increasingly important part of Chery’s wider brand direction. Product launches, technology demonstrations and ownership initiatives are being brought together under a common strategy in which users play a more visible role in shaping the brand experience.

One global family

The 2026 summit follows last year’s focus on hybrid technology, intelligent mobility, safety and product innovation, but shifts the emphasis further towards how those developments translate into real-world value for users.

Across the six-day programme, product experiences, safety demonstrations, new-model introductions and user discussions will be connected by a single idea: understanding what people need from their vehicles and using those needs to inform future products and experiences.

Through “Together. For Family”, Chery is bringing its technology, safety and user-engagement strategies under one people-focused global platform, while creating a closer connection between the brand and the families it serves around the world.
