COVID-19 Vaccines: SA Government / Janssen contract #11

The SA Government agreed to the purchase of vaccines for billions of Rands, at a price of $10 a dose - 15% higher than the price the European Union paid for the same vaccines.

This, for a product which in fact did not exist at the time of purchase, whilst they and the manufacturer agreed that it may not be successful and of which the long-term effects, adverse effects and efficacy were unknown.
