The Collision Engineering Program (CEP), which is supported through the Enterprise Holdings Foundation, will be featured in the RDE lineup on Wednesday, November 1 from 12:30 -1:30 during Talent Shortage – Ensuring We Have Collision Technicians in 5 Years.
Laura Lozano, Professor of Collision Repair Technology and Automotive Department Co-Chair at Contra Costa College in California will join a panel alongside Brandon Eckenrode, Executive Director at the Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF), Jennifer Maher, Executive Director at TechForce, Donne Wagner, VP Industry & Media Relations at ASE and Jeff Wildman, Expert, Automotive Aftermarket Industry at BASF Automotive Refinish.
The group will specifically discuss the ramifications of the one million auto, diesel & collision technicians needed in the industry by 2024; with more than 113,000 required by the collision industry alone.
Specifically, the panel will discuss practical steps in defining shop culture, developing career paths and leveraging available resources.
