Point S International launches new fully EV-compatible all-season tyre

Point S Europe has launched its new Point S 4 Seasons 3 all-season tyre range.

It includes the Point S 4 Seasons 3 for passenger cars, sports cars and SUVs, and the Point S 4 Seasons Van + for vans, commercial vehicles and caravans. Point S says the full range is compatible with electric vehicles.

Designed in Germany and manufactured in Europe, the tyres were developed with a European premium tyre manufacturer. According to Point S, the new range improves on its predecessor in snow, wet and dry conditions. Its European tyre label rolling-resistance rating has improved from D to C, while specific sizes have a B rating for wet grip.

The tyres are designed to meet electric vehicles’ requirements through enhanced load capacity, optimised rolling resistance, reduced noise and improved wear resistance. More than 50 sizes are available, including 12 for commercial vehicles, with increased coverage of 17-, 18- and 19-inch diameters.

Independent performance testing

Point S International commissioned TÜV SÜD Product Service to test the Point S 4 Seasons 3 in size 205/55 R16 94V XL against three mid-range and three budget tyres. The tests took place in February and March 2026 using a Volkswagen Golf VIII and an Audi A3. They covered wet braking, wet lateral grip, aquaplaning and snow performance.

In wet braking tests from 80 km/h to a complete stop, the mid-range tyres travelled an average of 2.66 metres further than the Point S tyre, while the budget tyres travelled 3.3 metres further. Point S also reported stronger wet-grip and aquaplaning results than the comparison tyres.

On snow, braking from 40 km/h to a complete stop, the mid-range tyres travelled 0.4 metres further and the budget tyres 1.7 metres further than the Point S tyre. The Point S 4 Seasons 3 also outperformed both groups in snow acceleration tests.

“Point S 4 Seasons 3 represents a significant step forward for our own-brand tyre range, combining European manufacturing with the expertise and quality standards we expect from a premium manufacturer,” said Fabien Bouquet, CEO of Point S International.

Emilie Faure, International Private Labels Product Manager, said the range gives motorists a year-round option while helping Point S members serve a wider variety of vehicles, including electric vehicles.
