Eden Classic Car and Motorcycle Show is now part of Knysna Oyster Festival

The Eden Classic Car Group (ECCG), which was founded two years ago, will hold a show for classic cars and motorcycles as part of this year’s Knysna Oyster Festival. The show will take place at the Scarab Arts & Craft Village, located off the N2, west of Sedgefield, on Sunday, 23 June 2024. It will be open from 10h00 to 16h00.

The Eden Classic Car Group is an association of passionate motor enthusiasts who own a wide range of classic cars and motorcycles. They will exhibit not only many of their own vehicles, but the show is also open to other classic car and motorcycle owners to apply to exhibit their vehicles too.

“We are delighted that the Eden Classic Car Group’s first motor show will be in partnership with the popular Knysna OysterFestival, which runs from June 21 to 30,” commented Peter Pretorius, the chairman of the ECGG show organising committee and the person who was at the helm of organising the Knysna Motor Show for its first nine years.

“The venue, alongside the established Scarab Arts & Craft market, isideally situated in the heart of the Garden Route. The timing is also suitable in that an influx of visitors from the rest of the country visit the Knysna area at this time of the year to enjoy the many events which make up the Oyster Festival, while it will also be school holidays,” explained Pretorius.

“We have put together a dedicated team with experience in all the elements that make up such a show, along with a proven record of putting on a very special motor show.One of the objectives of this show is to raise funds for local charities besides building out the scope of the Knysna Oyster Festival,” added Pretorius.
