Oscar Piastri arrives at Monza for the Italian Grand Prix with a commanding lead in the 2025 Formula One championship, but the challenge is far from over.

The Australian has been a model of consistency this season, and McLaren’s superior performance has made the team the benchmark on most circuits.

We can expect Monza’s long straights and fast corners to be perfectly suited to McLaren’s low-drag package, and many fans expect McLaren to once again set the pace.

However, this is Ferrari territory, and the Scuderia will draw energy from the passionate tifosi who flood the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza every year.

Charles Leclerc knows what it takes to win here, having delivered an unforgettable victory in front of the home crowd last year. Could history repeat itself? Will Ferrari spring a surprise - particularly if strategy or weather throws a curveball.

Add Max Verstappen’s Red Bull into the mix – still dangerous despite the team’s recent struggles – and Monza promises an intense showdown.

Piastri may lead, but in Italy, nothing is guaranteed. The question remains: will McLaren’s momentum continue, or will Ferrari produce a moment of magic to ignite the championship fight?
