Team Tork Craft's Flat Out Fortnight

A dust storm double-header from Legends to Bloem

While motocross has no breathing space, Team Tork Craft yet again proved it thrives under pressure across a bar-bashing fortnight of action. Starting with the final round of the Northern Regions Motocross at Legends MX before heading over to Bloemfontein for the Minicross finals, the squad as ever, packed the gates and fought hard every inch of the way for each single point, from 50cc Minicross all the way to the senior ranks.

The action kicked off at Legends MX, where the Tork Craft contingent rolled up their sleeves for a punishing final regional showdown. Headline news was Rayden Woolls storming to a stellar 85cc overall victory on his Team Tork Craft Husqvarna, backed by Tommy Wotherspoon in a podium third and Hanru du Plessis ninth on his Tork Craft RTR KTM.

Over in the Ladies meantime, Team Tork Craft Husqvarna's newly crowned South African champion Mackenzie Bam stamped her authority once again. She took another impressive victory, while Kelly Beetge rode to a fine second to make it a Team Tork Craft 1-2 for the day.

The red-line pace continued unabated in the 125cc high school class, Kabelo Ledwaba fought at the sharp end to secure third overall on his Team Tork Craft Husqvarna, chased by Derek van Aswegen fourth on his Kawasaki, and Brandon van Wyk a solid sixth. Ger-Drie De Beer rounded out the Legends attack in ninth against a capacity MX2 pack.

Cooper Meyer charged to a gritty sixth in the just as competitive 50cc Minicross, while Damien Kritzinger locked down seventh in the 65s on his Tork Craft RTR KTM. Young Cooper was back in action as the team shifted focus to the Free State for the Minicross finals in Bloemfontein this past weekend, where he charged to a fine fifth.

It’s another big weekend for Team Tork Craft with the South African National Cross Country Motorcycle Championship finale in Harrisdale, KZN, this Saturday 31 October.
