The Partinform 2016 year end function was held once again at the Red Star Raceway in Delmas, Mpumalanga, on 25 November 2016, where the winners of the countrywide quizzes got to pit their racing skills against their peers, Partinform suppliers and VIP guests.
hile watching the drivers tearing around the race track, the words of America’s great sportswriter Grantland Rice came to mind. “For when the One Great Scorer comes to mark against your name, He writes—not that you won or lost—but how you played the Game.” Extremely appropriate for both the day, and the concept of Partinform. At first glance, the guys were having fun on the track, whilst the winner was not that important; but a deeper meaning lay behind the day, and the concept of Partinform.
Partinform was conceived and founded in 1986, to promote the use of locally made parts and components, and to combat the impact of dangerous sub-standard imports, and this philosophy remains as relevant today as it was in 1986. In actual fact, if you look at the fatalities on the road in December 2016, roadworthy cars are an imperative if we are to reverse this horrible trend of road deaths. And when the Great Scorer comes to mark against our names, he will write not whether you dabbled in selling or fitting automotive parts, but how you played the game!
